ARISE exists to reach those who are spiritually dead and help them ARISE in Christ Jesus, whether they once knew Him and drifted away from the church or are meeting Him for the very first time. In the New Testament, the Greek word for Resurrection means "to stand back up, to arise.” One of our objectives as a Seventh-day Adventist church is to call Hispanic-American church members to ARISE spiritually; to ‘stand back up to life.’ As in Jesus’ parable, in which a son, who was spiritually dead, left his father’s house to live in a dying world, the son was one day called back to life. By God, he was called to ARISE and return to his father’s house, and when he returned, his father made a feast for his lost son and said, “for this my son was dead and is alive again” (Luke 15:24). Our second objective is to seek and save the lost (Luke 19:10). It is our desire to reach out to Hispanic-Americans that do not know Christ as a personal Savior and present God’s truth and love to them. Our mission also includes* anyone of any cultural background who desires to "ARISE" in Christ our Lord because to ARISE is to ARISE in Jesus who is the "Way, the Truth and the Life" for all mankind.
